Sedona’s own Oak Creek Brewing Co., is hosting its twentieth anniversary bash on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6. Fresh craft brewed beers made on-premise will flow inside the brewery and outside in the beer garden to the tune of live music throughout both days.
The Sedona Barbecue Company, newly located at the brewery, will be serving up its house smoked BBQ ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, sliders, cowboy beans, fresh cole slaw and other great specialties.
The music venue is jam packed with all the musicians listed donating their time so that a portion of the proceeds can go toward paying hospital/medical bills for long-time friend of the brewery, artisan ceramic tile installer and musician, Leonardo!
The music rocks out as follows:

The Oak Creek Brewing Co. has become a Sedona institution over the twenty years since Fred and Rita Kraus brought their dreams with them from Bavaria, Germany, to Sedona in late 1993 after Fred’s two year brewmaster apprenticeship at the Hufeisen Brewery in Pottenstein, Germany. Fred was trained by brewmaster Josef Wiegaertner, a graduate of the prestigious Doemens Brewing School outside of Munich. Oak Creek Brewing has continued to break new ground over the years, introducing the likes of its Hefeweizen (Bavarian Wheat) beer, Amber and Nut Brown Ale to Arizonans and growing from 700 barrels a year in 1995 to almost 6000 estimated for this year, and graduating from keg only distribution to package beer available in supermarkets, convenience stores and other outlets in 12 oz bottle six packs.
Oak Creek Brewing was the second licensed Class 3 microbrewery in Arizona. Oak Creek naturally carbonates all its beers utilizing the Bavarian “spunding” process while using the highest quality malted barleys resulting in an exceptionally fresh, refined, drinkable line of beers. Oak Creek has also recently introduced its hoppy, delicious, India Pale Ale in kegs and bottles.
The Oak Creek Brewing Co. continues to be known as a mecca for local and visiting musicians, having supported live music in its on-premise tap room for the twenty years of its history. Customers can enjoy the entertainment inside or out in the large, enclosed beer garden that features a water feature, fire pit and attractive plantings. So be sure to stop by on this special weekend and take your pick from one of the nine freshly brewed beers on tap while listening to exceptional music and enjoying some great down home BBQ!
